Mr. Bean

IDK why, but this show cracks me up. Before my dad died, whenever he needed a good laugh, he usually ended up watching this and wiping his eyes he was laughing so hard. That's how I remember him, laughing so hard he was wiping his eyes at watching this.

Mr. Bean

-British comedy series of 14 half hour episodes written by and starring Rowan Atkinson.
-Other episodes were also written by Robin Driscoll, Richard Curtis, Ben Elton
-Premiered on Jan. 1, 1990
-Last episode: Oct. 31, 1995

Episodes
Characters and Other Props

Mr. Bean
-Childish, selfish buffoon who brings unusual problems to everyday tasks
-Lives alone in a small flat(apartment) in Highbury, North London
-Almost always seen wearing a tweed jacket, and skinny red tie
-Rarely speaks
-Seems unaware of how the world works and finds problems with everyday situations, such as going swimming, using a TV, redecorating or going to church. But that's what makes it funny
-The humor stems from his original and absurd solutions to problems when solving them

Teddy
-His teddy bear
-Best friend, a dark brown knitted oddity with button eyes and sausage shaped limbs, sometimes ending up broken in half or other states of destruction.
-Even though it's inanimate, Mr. Bean believes it's alive.

Mr. Bean's Car
-A British Leyland Mini 1000.
At first it was an orange 1969 BMC Mini MK II, but this was destroyed in an offscreen crash at the end of the first episode. From then on, the car was a 1976 model in applejack green with a black bonnet(hood). It  made the debut appearance in The Curse of Mr. Bean
-Also has a # of security measures. For example, he uses a bolt latch and padlock, rather than the lock on the car, and removes the wheel instead of the key.
-In the episode Back to School, Mr. Bean, his car, which looks exactly like another one that's a demonstration, gets crushed by a tank.
-On the show, it's a long running joke that he has a feud with the unseen driver of a light blue Reliant Regal Supervan III, which he manages to turn over, crash out, and so forth. The feud started in the first episode when the Reliant's driver held the Mini up on the way to a math exam.

Irma Gobb
-His "Girlfriend" is played by Matilda Ziegler. She is treated relatively badly by Mr. Bean, who regards her as more of a friend and companion than love interest. He becomes jealous when he sees her dancing with someone else in a discotheque in the episode Mr. Bean Goes to Town. And on Christmas, she says she wants a diamond ring and he inadvertantly thinks she wants the picture behind the diamonds and when she opens it, thinking it's a diamond ring, it ends up being a hook to hang the picture.

I love this episode. Every time me, my dad and sis went to church, my dad always pulled this stunt, doing what Mr. Bean did in church because he knew it cracked me and my sister up, knowing we couldn't laugh in church! Even singing like him cracked us up!
