Cali Swag District's M-Bone Shot Dead

The Hip-Hop culture is in a state of disrepair. Every week the river of misfortune stories continues to flow, featuring arrests, murders and ego wars that contribute to the damnation of the genre and endlessly distract from the art itself.

Today is no different, as we're sad to report that rising rap group Cali Swag District's M-Bone was shot and killed late last night in his hometown of Inglewood, CA. Details are scant, but according to an Inglewood police spokesperson, the 22 year old sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the head while sitting in his vehicle on Le Brea Avenue. M-Bone was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
A red Mustang is said to have been involved, according to eyewitnesses who say the Mustang drove off and then returned to the scene, almost as if to make sure the victim was dead.

Fellow group member Smoove expressed his condolences in a recent tweet. "Ma life changed drastically in the. Blink of an eye rip mbone" tweeted Smoove.

Cali Swag District made a huge impact on the Hip-Hop market last year with their infectious single "Teach Me How to Dougie." The track was a smash, with the tune instructing fans how to perform a massive dance craze. M-Bone was infamously known as one of the group's prime dancers along with members DJ C-Smoove, Yung and JayAre.
Fans of the group immediately responded to the tragic news of M-Bone's passing.
"R.I.P M-Bone of Cali Swag District! Got the homie and his family in my prayers!! To the whole crew keep y'all heads up! #luv" Young Money's Lil Twist wrote.

Cali Swag District's "Teach Me How to Dougie" hit number 28 on the Billboard charts last year, and established the dance as a Hip-Hop staple. The group's debut album is scheduled for release this year.
